Connect the AI tools you're already using to your event data, and get smarter insights from every event you run with Swoogo’s new MCP server.
You’re in the middle of event prep.
Your CMO asks how registration is trending.
A speaker wants to know who’s in their session.
Your boss wants a drop-off summary before the 3 p.m. call.
The answers are all in Swoogo. But getting there in the middle of event prep chaos is another matter.
What if you could just *ask* … and get the answer back instantly?
The gap between your event data and your AI tools
Most event teams are already using AI (ChatGPT, Claude, and others) to write emails, summarize notes, and think through strategy.
But until now, those tools had a blind spot: your actual event data.
Sure, these AI tools could help you write a registration reminder, but they couldn’t tell you who still needed to register.
The good news is, that gap is closing. 🙌
Introducing the Swoogo MCP Server
At Swoogo, we believe in optionality: give event teams the freedom to use the tools they love, work how they want, and never limit their creativity.
As the first event management platform to launch a native, ready-to-use MCP server, we’re bringing that same philosophy to AI.
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets AI tools connect directly to external systems. Think of it as a universal plug for your AI assistants.
Once connected, the AI tools your team already uses can securely access your Swoogo data. Ask a question, get a real answer from your actual event data…without exporting spreadsheets or bouncing between tools.
Setup takes five minutes. No code. No engineering required.
And now, your event data works wherever you do.
What this actually looks like
The possibilities are endless, but let’s play out a few real-life scenarios. For this scenario we’ll suppose you’re working with Claude or ChatGPT:
✅ Your event is two weeks out and you want to know which companies have the most registrants.
Instead of exporting a list and building a pivot table, you just ask. Claude pulls the full registrant list, groups by company, and ranks them. You find out three people from the same org signed up and realize it's worth a personalized outreach to their team.
✅ A speaker wants to know who's coming to their session, specifically their job titles and companies.
You ask ChatGPT. It pulls everyone registered for that session and summarizes the room: "14 registrants, mostly senior event managers and operations leads from mid-size tech companies." Your speaker preps accordingly. No spreadsheet handoff needed.
✅ You're running a multi-session event and want to know if any sessions have a capacity problem.
You ask Claude to compare registration counts against capacity across all sessions. It flags the two that are nearly full and the one that's underperforming. You have what you need to send a targeted push or open a waitlist before it becomes a day-of scramble.
✅ Your sales team wants a list of prospects, not customers, who registered for your event.
Instead of filtering exports manually, you ask your ChatGPT to pull registrants by reg type and hand the list directly to sales. Segmented, formatted, ready to act on.
✅ Post-event, you want to know which registrants actually showed up versus no-showed.
You ask. Claude cross-references registration data with attendance records and gives you the breakdown by session. You spot that your afternoon sessions had significantly lower attendance and flag it for next time.
All the work you used to do to get answers? Gone. Now you just ask, and move on.
Why this isn’t just another “AI feature”
A lot of event platforms are building AI into their products right now, which is a reasonable thing to do—and so are we. The difference is we're building in both directions: inside Swoogo, and out to the AI tools you already use.
When AI is built into an event tool, it can only do what that vendor decides to surface…inside their interface, with the questions they anticipated.
When your event data connects to the AI tools you already use, you bring your own workflow. You ask the questions you’re actually curious about, and you work in the tools that already feel natural. And because the MCP standard is open and growing, as more AI tools adopt it, Swoogo automatically works with them, with no updates required on your end.
What’s exciting is your AI tool can start layering in insights from other sources. Analyze which Industries your attendees are in just by asking for their company name. Pull in revenue data directly from Salesforce to see if any attendees converted to pipeline. The opportunities compound quickly.
This is the foundation of how we think about AI at Swoogo…open, connected, and built to work the way you already do.
Safe and intentional by design
A few important things to know before you connect:
- The MCP server can retrieve data like registrants, sessions, sponsors, and speakers
- It can create or update sessions, speakers, or sponsors
- It cannot delete events
- If you want it to make edits to your Swoogo event, it requires confirmation first
- You need a full user license and API key access to connect, and your data access inside Claude or ChatGPT mirrors your Swoogo permissions exactly
What’s coming next
Right now, the Swoogo MCP Server is focused on what event teams need most: the ability to ask questions and understand your event data, and then take action on it, through the AI tools you already use. That's the foundation.
What comes next is where things get really exciting: the ability to build with it.
Imagine using tools like Lovable, Replit, or Cursor to vibe code a fully branded event landing page or custom registration experience. You describe what you want, the AI builds it, and registration data flows directly back into Swoogo as your system of record. No custom API integration, no backend engineering project. Swoogo as the data layer, AI as the builder.
That’s where we're headed, and it’ll totally change what event teams (including the agencies and developers who support them) can do. We'll have more to share soon.
