How isolved’s Roadshow Series Achieved 13x Growth

With Swoogo’s event management platform, isolved launched and scaled their roadshow program by 13x, growing from an initial five events to a whopping 65 in a year.

The Value of the Roadshow

In 2022, the isolved team was looking to connect face to face with their customers after the peak of COVID. Aiming to create a mutual learning opportunity, they launched these in-person experiences which allowed them to better understand—and suss out—the needs of their customers.

“At events, you’re able to have those organic conversations that you otherwise don’t necessarily get,” says Kate Burke, Director of Marketing Events. “During these conversations, you can sometimes hear what people aren’t saying; it’s almost as powerful as what they are saying. Hearing directly from our customers at these roadshows really helped us drive a lot of our messaging, branding, and our product strategy.”

On the flip side, a cross-functional isolved team delivered value by presenting on HR industry trends, offering networking opportunities, and giving customers a hands-on experience with the product.

In parallel, the program helped grow the isolved customer advocacy program by connecting their customers – or as they call them, People Heroes – with opportunities to grow their personal and professional brands.

Scaling From 5 to 65, Fast

After their first five events, isolved’s customers and internal teams were clamoring for more. 
“People heard about them and were like, what about us?”
says Kate.

So they stepped on the gas. 

To determine where to host their next series of events, Manager of Events Lauren Bogle used heat maps to locate their customers—a huge learning that confirmed specific customer or user groups are not always in the same place as a company’s headquarters.

Thanks to the effortless cloneability of Swoogo pages, they were able to spin up registration sites within hours and react quickly to new or last-minute requests for roadshows.

The (very big) cherry on top? Swoogo’s subscription-based pricing model allowed isolved to scale their program without paying more for each new event.

Full Autonomy to Build, Launch, and React

One of the biggest factors that the isolved events team to quickly scale their roadshows was the control they had within Swoogo to spin up their own web pages, communicate with attendees, and ultimately control their workflow.

“We have a lot more autonomy within Swoogo. It was really nice because I could just send my own emails and create my own web pages without needing to pull in members of other teams.”

Integrations, meanwhile, keep their data and workflow streamlined. Kate points out, “We can use the same email design with HTML as we have in our marketing automation tool, and since they’re integrated, we’re not losing any functionality by working in Swoogo.”

In order to scale, your platform must allow you to pivot and handle issues off the cuff without needing to rely on your operations team. This independence through Swoogo has empowered isolved to churn out events while keeping the experiences top-tier.

“Events can be very reactive. You can plan as much as you want to, but things come up,” says Kate. “Being able to react on our own and just run with it has been incredibly beneficial for us.”
