New Roles & Permissions

Security UI/UX
role based access control

We’ve expanded our roles and permissions to support role-based access control. Your team can get the exact access they need in Swoogo! Here’s what’s new:

  • We’ve got 5 new standard roles! Choose from Event Manager, Designer, Communicator, Data & Integrations Specialist, or Payments Specialist. Each role has specific permissions in Swoogo so your team has access to only what they need for their role. Don’t worry, we’ve still got your full access Admin role, and your Reporting Specialist role…those aren’t changing!
  • A simple and modern user interface to give Swoogo access to new team members, and see how many users you have left in your plan. Simple, easy, fast, and secure!
  • Have someone on your team that needs unique access to Swoog? Easily create a custom role with access to 50+ new permission options. You can start with a standard role, clone it, and mix + match permissions to create the perfect role for your team members.

Feel free to jump in and add new team members, or edit your team members roles and permissions. You’ve got this!

Go Onsite Updates

Mobile
FIltering sessions by date and completion status in Go Onsite app

Check out some recent enhancements to our check-in app: Go Onsite!

What’s new?

  • Improved performance to comfortably support events with 100k attendees and 1k sessions. We want to ensure Go Onsite is scaling with your events!
  • UI improvements for multi-day events. On the sessions screen, there’s now a calendar toggle at the top to jump between the different days of your event & view all sessions taking place on a given day. Additionally, when viewing an attendee’s list of sessions, the session date is now included more clearly as a line item to prevent confusion when dealing with multi-day events.
  • Session filtering. Slice & dice your list of sessions to view by Finished, Starts Soon, Not Started, or Live.

Moneybird Integration Update

Integrations Payments
Moneybird payment integrating with Swoogo

Big Swoogo x Moneybird user? You’ll love the new, added flexibility to handpick which payment methods generate an invoice!

By default, Moneybird creates invoices for all transactions, across all payment methods. We know that there are unique circumstances where an invoice isn’t necessary (and may cause more confusion for your registrants and accounting team). Instead, you can leverage this new setting to control whether or not an invoice is generated, based on what payment method a registrant selects.

Service Fee

Event Registration Payments
Setting up a service fee in the Swoogo events platform

We’ve introduced the option to apply a service fee! With this feature, you can pass along those additional charges to help you cover your event operating costs, and keep your ROI on the up and up.

A service fee is a way to charge your registrants an additional amount on top of the base purchase (for example, the ticket price for your event + service fee to cover credit card processing). Some common uses are a processing fee, exhibitor fee, or convenience fee.

You have the flexibility to create a different service fee amount for different payment methods or credit card types. For example 2% on Visa transactions vs. 3.5% on American Express transactions.
